Hey....I've got a question about test results...Well, I received test results that look like this:

Testosterone : 19 (Normal - 15-70)
Testosterone, Free, % - 2.6 (Normal - 0.5 - 1.8)
Thyroid (T3) - 26.76 (Normal - 27.65 - 40.32)

There were other tests on thyroid that were normal and such, but...Here are my questions: What IS Free Testosterone and what does it do? Does this mean, the slight increase, that I am Insulin Resistant? Is 2.6, compared to the highest, 1.8, really that much to worry about? What number is normal for women with PCOS?

Umm, and what is T3? Is that tiny decrease something to worry about to? My doc didn't say ANYTHING about it on the phone...He said my thyroid is normal...I didn't know there was a decrease until the results came in the mail. ..All the other thyroid tests were normal, too.
