Hey, I went and picked up a copy of my results. My total is 48 with a range of 2-45 being normal. My free is 7.3 with 0.1-6.4 being normal. I know mine are high. But is this considered real high, high enough to be causing all this hairloss. I am on 25 of spiro, should I be on more and how much more. Are there any other ways to get testosterone down?

You may have a sensitivity like I do to testosterone. My Endocrinologist goes by my symptoms, of course we do regular blood work. When my total testosterone goes above 25, my PCOS symptoms increase. (Hair loss, longer cycles, weight gain etc...) My niece's Endo recently said that she would medicate a free T above 3.5. She does have symptoms of elevated T.
I take two anti androgens-Spiro and Flutamide. I have been on spiro for about four years now. I was on 200mgs a day. Unfortunately it didn't help me with the hair loss. It did bring my T levels down, but not consistently. Flutamide keeps my numbers down below 25 consistently. It has stopped the hair loss and I have regrowth. I still take 50mgs of Spiro, I think it helps with the skin.
