I just wanted to ask you ladies to please pray for Andrea. She is from the mommy thread. She just lost her baby, Melanie. This sweet little girl passed away at the age of one year from an incurable mitochondrial disease. Their family is going through a very dark time right now. Reading about their ups and downs with their daughter in the hospital hit me hard, it brought back so many of the fears and trials and sadness that I went through during my Elisa's many hospitalizations and near misses. Please pray for this wonderful lady and her family who now has a beautiful angel in heaven. She is married and has an older son. They must be all so devastated right now. Melanie's first birthday was only a couple of weeks ago I think.

What a horrible thing. I will definately keep her and her family in my prayers. There's been a lot of death of babies this month. It just shouldn't happen.

I will definitely keep her and family in my prayers. I know it is hard to lose a child and she will really need support from friends and family right now..

i had just read on the MB about what happened and i almost lost it. I've never met Andrea...but i've followed along with their struggles and prayed for Melanie to get better. My thoughts and prayers are with her and her family...and i see our angels making room for another...its so terribly sad

I was terribly sad to read their story and the outcome. Melanie was beautiful. I hope Andrea comes to see us here or finds another support network elsewhere. No one knows what's going on like another bereaved mom, kwim? I sent a message to her expressing my sorrow for them. Thanks for posting!
