I finally have some time to write, Sunday after noon I went with my husband and his youth group for a tour of a funeral, and afterwards they asked the kids to make there own grave stones and put on them what they thought it should say if they were to die tomorrow, most didn't take it seriously but a few did. Monday night around 8 pm my husband called me and asked me to go to the neighbors and tell them that he would be right home there had been an accident and thought we needed to go to the hospital. So we loaded into the car around 8:30 and headed out. When we arrived no one was sure of what had happened or how anyone was. Finally they came out and asked our pastor to go in and read Mike his right's of passage. We were then giving the news that the mom, and oldest brother who was driving were ok, the youngest was critical and in surgery, and the middle son Mike didn't make it. I had just met mike on Sunday at the youth group and out of all the kids that were there and that I had never met before he was the one I remembered. He reminded me of my husband when we first started dating they look a lot a like, and enjoy the same things. My husband was in tears when he heard the news, little had I knew Mike's mom and grandmother had been asking my dh to talk to Mike and get him to join the youth group, sunday was the first time he had ever come. Tuesday we gathered at our chapel and held a meeting to following up with the youth on the past day events, but it turned out to be mostly adults that showed up, and Mike's mom came, so they sang some songs and we prayed. We had everyone sign a poster and we took that and a wreath the the accident scene. Today was the viewing and tomorrow is the funeral. It was very disturbing for everyone today becuase it just didn't look like him. The youngest brother is out of the hospital and seem's to be healing well. The person who hit him had a alcohol level of .29 and was driving with out a license. Oh and what he wanted his grave stone to say was Fly Eagles Fly! He was a huge eagles fan and his mom and older brother had just put eagles green flooring in his room.
