Please keep my family in your prayers. I was visiting this weekend, and it seems my family could take up a whole hospital wing right now!
I have a cousin who just had a baby girl. She chose to give this child up for adoption, b/c a baby would not fit into her life right now. I am very proud of her for making such a responsible decision. But I am sure it was a very hard decision for her.
My aunt (Donna) has had numerous medical problems over the past few months - car wreck, brain surgery (aneurism), and most recently, gall bladder surgery - which resulted in a 5 day hospital stay during which she developed pneumonia.
My grandpa (Marvin) broke his hip 2 weeks ago - had 4 pins put in. During his hospital stay his heart rate kept dropping - so they put a pacemaker in Friday. He is now in the CCU - and while he's stable, he is not doing well. (He is 88). I don't expect him to ever return home. I pray my mother and her siblings as well as my grandmother, will accept God's will, and not make him suffer.
My sister (Susan) is 21-22 weeks pg. She had her gall bladder out about a month ago. She has been having very bad pains and throwing up. Her doctors think there may still be stones in her bile ducts, and they want to do an endoscopic procedure. This does involve a live x-ray - so she and the baby would be exposed to radiation throughout the procedure. The doctors feel that since she is past the 1st tri-mester, that this will be a very small risk to the baby.
The procedure could cause pancreatitis - if they don't do it, the stones could cause pancreatitis. Worst case scenario with this is pre-term labor and/or sis ending up on a respirator. While I know they have to tell us the worst could happen, and that it probably won't, I am still very scared for my sis.
My other sister's (Sheila) father in law was admitted to the hospital Saturday - they believe he has had a stroke.
There are also 2 other family friends in the hospital battling different types of cancer.
As you can see there is a lot going on right now! It's causing me a great amount of stress - and I can only imagine the amount it is causing my mother - who is at the hospital every day. Please keep my whole family in your prayers so that we can accept God's will with each and every family member and so that we can handle each hurdle thrown our way. Please pray for the doctors so that they can guide our family to make the right decisions, and so that they can perform their jobs well to help heal our family members.
If you got this far - thank you for reading - it's helped me a lot just to get this "written" down. And thank you in advance for your prayers.
I'm so sorry for all the stress your family is encountering at this time. Your entire family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Beloved, I wish above all things that you prosper and be in good health, even as your soul prospers. 3 John: 2 NIV
My sister is back on L&D - they are monitoring the baby and have given her drugs to stop contractions - just in case. She has been able to get up and walk around. Her surgeon did not have to get near the pancreas - so he feels that pancreatitis will not be an issue - we are very grateful for that! If all goes well tonight she will be released tomorrow.
My grandfather is in the rehab unit. And from the story mom told me, very feisty. Hopefully he will remain so for a while!
Again, thank you all - please continue to hold us in your prayers.
My grandpa is still fighting some of the rehab. He is not always "here" with us - and I think when he's fighting, he doesn't remember what's going on. But, healthwise, he isdoing much better.
My aunt is doing well, as is my sister's father-in-law.
I guess all this stress comes with a large family! And we've been very lucky in the past, to have had any major problems spaced out.
