Because of my Prolactin hormone being elevated, my RE has asked for me to have an MRI........I went in today, even brought my own christian music and prayed to God, but 5 minutes into it, with that mask over my face, and a HUGE noise around my head, I FREAKED OUT 5 minutes!! I'm so disappointed in myself because I couldn't focus, I started hyperventilating and felt like I was going to throw up...........I had my eyes closed but the noise freaked me out so much that i felt like I was spinning. I need this MRI before he will even touch me for infertility. He is checking for hyperprolactinemia tumor in the brain. Right now we're waiting for a call for an Open MRI........but will that be any better??
I'm at peace right now, that this exprience was out of my hands, but I also would like to find out whats going on in my head as well. Please pray that they will let me have this open MRI and that I will put all my cares upon Him and feel the peace I need to get through this test!!

You have always been a source of kindness and prayer on this site. I will pray for you about this. I will add you to may list of daily prayers with dh. I know the Lord will take care of you. Both of my parents have had to have MRI's and they said they were horrible. They gave my mom a drug to keep her calm. Maybe your doc can give you something if you have to do the closed scan again.
Lord, I lift Rebekah up to you in prayer. Jesus, please protect her and give her peace and comfort as she endures this scan. Wrap your loving arms around her, and let her know you are with her. I pray that the open scan will tell the docors what they are looking for. Lord, I also pray that Rebekah will find she has no serious health issues from these tests. Lord, give her doctors wisdom and knowledge in treating her. In the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior I pray. Amen
The open MRI is better for that closed in feeling, but I have heard the tests are not as accurate. See if your doc can give you something to relax before the next one.

there is a great chance that my insurance won't cover the open MRI, so I will probably be asking for the meds to calm me down. I know that God along with your prayers will be there for me.....and I will ask them to make sure that they turn the cd's up a bit higher so as I may hear them. UPDATE: I called the insurance company and they will cover the open MRI. I was able to make an appointment for tomorrow at noon...and ask for all your prayers that I may feel at peace and Gods calming upon my heart and mind. I was told that the open MRI would get the information that the dr. is looking for. The fact that the insurance will pay for this OPEN MRI...is a blessing in itself, as i was told they don't usually do this. So I thank my sisters and brothers who prayed for me. Your spiritual love shines and I'm blessed that I am able to be a part of SC!!

Hon...I was in hospital for 2 weeks 3 years ago for constant fainting and I had pounding headaches so they sent me for an MRI....its a horrible thing aint it...and I had a pounding headache!!!
So for you having to have the MRI I send you much light and love and for waiting for your results and all the treatment you have to come....I just want to say God bless and may angels pretect and guide you through all of it xxx

A Big Thank You!! To my cysters who prayed for me.
I just got home from my Open MRI and I got through it!! What an accomplishment for me!! I'm a bit shakey right now, but I'm alright. That noise was horrible, but through the whole test (because I couldn't hear the christian music I brought most of the time) I was saying scripture and singing....I got a feeling, everything is gonna be alright.lol
I don't think I could have made it without all your prayers, comfort, wisdom, and love............I felt a sense of peace, though I was extremely impatient about WANTING OUT. I'm truely thankful that God was there for me, and that he also blessed me with such wonderful women on this site. You ALL are truely a blessing!!

I should be getting the results on Tuesday, so hopefully everything will be Positive for the holidays. We'd like to start TTC by january, but I won't take any chance unless I feel my body is under control of sorts.
