Please pray for my Grandmother.

She is 86 years old. She has been in the hospital since Saturday, ICU since Sunday. Today they put her on a ventilator - her blood gases indicate her lungs are not ridding themselves of carbon dioxide. The doctor thinks she may fall into a coma. Basically - many decision have to be made. I can remember my mother talking about Grandma & Grandpa both wanting DNR's, wanting NO extreme measures taken to save them. However, they never put it in writing. Now it is up to my mother & 7 of her siblings to make this decision for their mother. (My grandfather has had so many strokes, he is incapable - most days - of making a decision).

Please pray for my mom, aunts & uncle to accept whatever decision they agree on.

Selfish time - please pray for me. I'm having a hard time. I don't know whether to grieve. I have a girls weekend planned next week - I hate to disappoint my friends if something happens next week. But I'm the transportation. I thought I was at peace w/whatever happened w/my grandparents. Neither have been themselves for sometime. And I honestly feel THEY would be better off in another place. As much as I hate to lose them, and as much as I hate for my mom to lose her parent(s). Between this and pg hormones, I don't think I'll get through the next two days of work!

I'm so sorry that you're going through all of this. I understand your point about feeling that it is there time to go from this world now. My grandmother has reached that point too IMO.

There are no words...but I pray for you today.
