I am a dietabetic and on Metformin 3X a day 1500..]
Does anyone know If I can take all 3 pills once a day at night.
Because they make me sleepy, and I have been having bathroom
runs too.. But I guess I can live with that.. Considering I am losing weight.
Also.. What exactly does the Metformin do for me?
I did get a very light period. Lasted about 3 days...
My doctor has not told me much. Basically he said you have Pcos look it up on the net. Here is a 1 sided paper about it. and you have diabitites.. I need you to take metformin lose weight and excerise.. See you in 6 weeks..
So if anyone could tell me exactly what metformin will do for me. I would appreicate it!

I am diabetic also. I take 2000 mg of regular Met a day (two 500 mg with breakfast and two 500 mg with dinner). It sounds like you're on reg Met, not the time release Glucophage, so you are supposed to take it with your meals. It's more effective that way, since it's after you eat that you have the insulin spikes. Also, it will help to limit the stomach side effects. I would call the doctor if I were you and ask how he wants you to take it.
