Unhappy Please say I'm not the only one with chest hairs??

I had like one or two soft dark hairs on my chest before I was pregnant. They came out during pg. and now I'm getting many more again. They are soft, but getting long and darker on the ends. Sometimes I just don't think that I can take any more of this disease. I really don't think that I have anything feminine left of me anymore. I'm about 100 lbs bigger than DH, my boobs are small, I have more navel hair than DH and now more chest hair!!! Not to mention, I probably have a deeper voice too. Sorry this has turned into a rant too

Unhappy You are not alone

I have them as well and I have it running all down my breasts and stomach. I shave it off, I can't afford to do much else. I shave with the shick intuition razor and it shaves really close.

Please be strong and remember all the wonderful things about you. We are all here for you and will love and support you through this. It's tough as hell sometimes but we will make it....remember that!

Drop me a PM anytime you'd like I would love to chat!!

You're not alone! I thought all this was normal stuff until i was diagnosed with PCOS, i was always to embarrassed to ask just in case it wasn't normal, now i'm learning that those little hairs on my chest and face aren't normal. But i have them on my chest as well, it sucks to have this, but i think in the long run it will make us stronger, some how, not sure how yet, because i'm frusterated right now with everything.... But oh well.

Have you had your adrenal glands checked out? If your body isn't using cortisol sufficiently enough, your adrenal glands will excrete wayyyyyyy too many androgens. The only reason I'm asking this, is because you said your voice was deepening. That happens with LOCAH (late onset congenital adrenal hyperplasia). I'm taking dexamethasone now to control this. I've been on it for 2 months and am seeing a huge difference in the hair growth. I shave my jawline with clippers so it doesn't grow back so stiff. I shaved it about a week after I started the dex. Now, it is growing back very slowly. I'm hoping eventually it will all be gone.

Unhappy I'm with ya cyster!

I have a few chest hairs too. They are fine and black and between my breasts. I also have a few that grow out around my nipples. My asked my ob about it when I had my annual. She said that it is very common for women to have hair on their breasts in one degree or another.

My husband actually tries to be funny about it. He was like " thanks for the floss honey!". I also have dark hair on my tummy and the never ending pubic hair that grows down my legs!!

I My doctor recommended that I go back on the pill if I am concerned about it. He knows that I hate the pill!! My husband had a vascetomy and I feel like crap on the pill. I told him that I wanted to deal with the root of the problem rather than masking the symptoms. UGH!!

Let me know if any of you ladies have any ideas???

Wink

I actually just increased my glucophage a bit. I hope that helps. I have been on the same doseage since I was diagnosed 3 years ago. I was also recently diagnosed hypothyroid. I went back last month and after being on medication for 6 weeks, my numbers are in normal range now.

I am hoping that the hair gets better. I noticed this morning when I was washing my face that I had 3 black hairs on my face!! I hate it.

I have chest hair too. Learning to live with it. I shave it and use the lotion that is supposed to minimize hair growth. I'm on meds and so far the only difference is that it does not grow back in as fast. Still trying to find a way to get rid of the black stubble after shaving, if I could get rid of that, I could live with the chest hair.

Default Don't know if this helps...

HI everyone,
I don't know if this helps, but sometimes when I know that someone else has something like me, or worse than me, I don't feel so isolated or depressed.

So, just wanted you all to know I have hundreds of very dark/black short and long (lots longer than an inch) hairs on my chest. We are not talking one or two ladies! Talk about not feeling feminine. I have not touched them in the way of removal because I don't want them to end up like the whiskers on my face. If anything I would maybe bleach them.

I feel for all of you that have this. I'm not gonna lie, it disgusts me and I only hope that either one day I can accept it, or find a way to get rid of it. Until then I just try not to dwell on it. Jean

I have accepted my chest hair. After the birth of my first boy (14 years ago) I had 2 chest hairs ... over the last few years, it looks as though I am growing chest hair like a man. Over the top of my breasts, between them ... hair all over the place really.

I shave them usually, or use hair removal cream.

I have been on Met for 2 months now and somedays I think all my unwanted hair is taking longer to grow back in .. other days I think it's all growing like there is no tomorrow. So I am hoping in another few weeks I will be able to decide which way it's going.

Default HAIR EVERYWHERE!

I am so hairy! I have long blonde downy hair on my cheeks and neck, black spiky hairs on my chin and upper lip which I shave. Blond downy hair on my chest down to my bellybutton, a neverending bikini line, a very hairy bottom, and really hairy feet like a man. I feel like man, I spend my life waxing, plucking and shaving.

Is anyone else this hairy? I have a few friends with PCOS and none of them have hairy feet.

have tried to wax my face but it comes up in a rash that last a week or so. Any ideas?

I have always had hairy feet. I have been shaving my feet since high school. The funny thing is that I thought that everyone shaved their feet. I just shave them when I am shaving my legs.

Angry ME TOO!!!!

I have hair on my chest as well. I hate it. IT also goes on thru my stomach and so on. I dont shave the hair btwn my breast cause i am ultimately scared it will be worse. I dont know, I guess I am weird. I do shave my boobs though. I have not got the nerve to do my stomach. I also have it on my caboose. ( i guess its adding to the junk in the trunk). I feel like a man as well.

as far as the feet go. I got it there to. ITs funny cause up to about a couple of years ago I thought everyone had hair on their feet.

I feel like a man as well.

If anyone wants or needs a friend just know you have one with me.

I am hear for my cysters anytime. Together maybe we can fight this BEAST!
lots of hugs and love
