I am passing along a request from DH's family for prayer for his Uncle Ray.
He recently had a heart attack and during an angiogram, they discovered that his blockage was so bad he needs to have a six-way bypass. His surgery is today.
Our family believes *strongly* in the power of prayer!
Cysters could you please say a prayer for DH's Uncle- he is a very important part of our family and genuinely one of the nicest people I have *ever* had the pleasure of knowing. We know he has good doctors and lots of support from friends and family, so his prognosis, at the moment, appears to be good.
We're praying for wisdom for the doctors that they may perform to the best of their ability, for strength for Ray as he undergoes and heals from surgery, and for patience and strength for his wife and family as they help him through the recovery process.
Thanks so much!
*Aimee*

Thanks so very much for extending prayers on our family's behalf. I am happy to report that Uncle Ray's surgery went well. Although they anticipated doing a sixway bypass, they ended up only having to do five! He endured the surgery and is now recovering.
Please continue to keep Ray in your prayers as he begins the long road to recovery.
I am so blessed to have this cysterhood to offer such heartfelt prayers! Thank you all very much- it is appreciated!

First, I'd like to thank everyone for their continued prayers for Ray.
Here's a quick update, from what I know now- He's still in intensive care, and yesterday one of his lungs collapsed. As far as I've heard, he's still doing ok otherwise, and he's at a good hospital. I'll post an update when I know more.

Thanks for the update......I posted a prayer last night, and it seems as though it never was posted.
i've been praying for your uncle and we will continue to keep him in our prayers. He seems to be such a light in your family and it blesses me to see such caring family members.
Heavenly Father, I take the time this minute to pray for Uncle ray. Lord you know whats wrong in his body. I lift uncle ray up right this minute and ask for healing in the name of Jesus! I pray that any and all foreign issues in his body would disappear in the name of Jesus and that Uncle ray would be up and running...I pray for MIRACLES in his life and pray that there would be a great testimony for others through Uncle rays experience. I thank you for such a loving couple Lord...I know that Aimee and her husband have certainely been a light in my eyes and they've helped this site quite often...I ask that you bless the both of them as well and lift them up to you Lord. I ask for an abundance of blessings for their whole family and thank you for your mercy and grace.....I also ask for direction in their lives if they need it and thank you for their friendship...In Jesus Mighty name.....AMEN!

Yolanda, Kathryn, Lisa, Torie, April, Keri, Laural and Rebekah,
Ladies thank you all so much for your thoughtfulness and prayers!! I know that you all are a big part of the reason that Ray is recovering right now.
He has had his ups and downs and is not yet considered "stable". We also found out via a phonecall from Eric's folks that he has just been dxd with Emphysema. This was an unfortunate and unexpected finding, but we're hoping that the dx can lead to treatment that will make him feel better.
He has been moved from the ICU to the Cardio/Pulmonary Unit for his recovery. It's looking like a long hard road ahead for him, but we're confident that he'll make it through- thanks to the support of family and friends- and all the prayers and well wishes being sent for him from my cysters.
Again- thank you all so much for your prayers and concern- Eric and I both truly appreciate it!
God Bless You All!
*Aimee*

Aimee.. I thought I had replied to this but I was really tired at the time. Your family is in my prayers and I am praying that Erics uncle makes a quick recovery and that his dx doesn't slow him down. May he get the treatment he needs and may Gods wisdom be shared with his doctors. ~hugs~
