i have been on my period for 3 WEEKS
i called my gyn office yesterday and nurse called me back today

she said:
wait 3-4 MONTHS and see what happens. if you are still having trouble at that time, call us back for an appointment.

WTF!!!!!!!

Uh no...you are totally not overreacting. I believe that you can experience problems if you bleed for that long. I would ask to speak directly with your doctor!

They told me to wait 2-3 months when I had already have really bad cramping for 2 months. I hate Dr's...I would call and force them to make your DR talk to you! good luck hun!

I agree, polymenorrhagia can be caused by different problems from endometriosis to cervical or uterine cancer. I would call back and ask to speak to someone else or find a new doctor ASAP.

You are totally not overreacting.

Try finding a different doctor. That is not normal, and it could mean something is wrong- they shouldn't just brush you off like that.
