My Derm. prescribed Plexion cleanser for the awful acne on my chest, shoulders, and back. It is 10% sodium sulfacetamide and 5% sulfur. Has anyone tried this with any success, bc I went to get it filled, and the tube was 140 something dollars. So I told them to keep it. I do however want to buy it if I hear any success stories. I probably spend that much every few months anyways trying things that do not work!!! The acne especially on my chest has gotten out of control so any suggestions would be appreciated.

I used to use it, before our insurance changed pretty much to paying hundreds like yourself. It helped to a great degree, but I have had equal success using Aveda's gel cleanser (in the green glass thing) & a herbal product liquid called ClearAc.

One thing about Plexion is it kinda smells strong, sulfuric. Can't they prescribe you the smallest tube to try it to start? It comes in different sizes, or used to. It can also expire, and when it does, it fails to work at all. I found that out the hard way...bought huge tube via insurance bargain, the stuff just wasn't working anymore and smelled even more strong (and was darker color), and finally it dawned on me it had expired. A brand-new tube worked just fine...I ended up getting smaller tubes more often, but I didn't use that much at a time either, mostly my face & upper chest.

Never used this one, but it must be the same as Rosanil cuz it has the same ingredients. I used Rosanil for about 1 1/2 years and it was really great! It does have a bad sulfer smell but I got used to that. I also had the same experience that it would loose its effectiveness as the tube got old... a new tube always worked the best. It was expensive - like $90. I tried the generic once & it did nothing so I went back.

I don't take it anymore cuz I want to get preg soon so I figured might as well get used to not having it now before my hormones go even more crazy!

I'd recommend if you can muster up the cash.
