Default "Plus" size clothing

Moved here from Canada and haven't a clue where to buy plus sized clothing. I am a 16 at home, which I think is an 18 here.

Help please!

Hiya,

So sorry first of all I have been meaning to call you but school is just about to end and I have been frantically studying!!

Ok I soooo went through the same thing...The best place is Evans, there is one in Bromley outside the glades, I bought a really grat businessy type suit there last week and they were having a great sale...Also Marks and Spencer goes up to size 20 as do most of the department stores...

p.s. I have my last exam on Wednesday, I will call you later in the week and maybe we can do coffee...Closest Starbucks also Bromley I think...LOL

The shops mentioned above r really good. I like New Look the best, coz they keep the fashion in the plus size section. Other shops can tend to lose the fashion as the clothes get bigger. They must think that because we are overweight we don't want to wear clothes that are in fashion.

Good Luck

Bex

Everyone pretty much said what I was going to. Also, don't forget that just like everywhere, women's sizes can be really screwy. I wear anywhere from a 16 to a 20 depending on the store. I'm a 16 at Dorothy Perkins, so I get a lot of trousers there.

The Glades has most stored you'd want, I think. I haven't been there for a year or so, but it used to.

Agree with everyone - I can be a 14 in some shops, and an 18 in others - so try stuff on before you buy it.

New Look seem to have realised that women who wear plus sizes want to look NICE and not FRUMPY which is rare for shops!!

I don't know if you buy stuff from the internet/catalogues but Naturally Close and Simply Be do some nice things too.

Yeah Tescos range is really good plus Asda have a clothing range called George which is very good to and i think they go up to a size 24.

Both Tescos and Asda are very resonably priced and are very good for your basics (black trousers, white shirts, jumpers, underwear etc)
