Plus size evening wear????

Anyone have any special occassion/evening wear/formal dresses for sale???? Or advice as to where I might find some decent?

Thank you, Lea. I will check those out. I have two evening weddings in October- one for my brother in law.. and one for my brother... so I will be in pictures for both

Anyway- I struggle with my weight... 5'4" .. 207lbs... and top heavy (I think I am a 44-46 DD)... UGH! I am having the worst time finding anything.. and prefer not to be sleeveless.

I'm going to go check out those sites... thanks again.

I just recently found me a dress to wear in a wedding (I was a bridesmaid) and i got it at JCPenny. Good luck with your search.

I am with ya!! LOL, I am 5'7 and 230lbs. Was in my sisters wedding, next too all skinny Bit**es!! AND they picked a sleevless!!! I wear a 40 G or H ......How do ya hold those puppies up without sleeves!!!!! I ended up buying a matching wrap, that I had a tailor attached to the back and front top edges of the dress. So it hid the bra straps, and hid my fat arms, without looking like it was attached, just nicely placed!!

I just bought a hot red dress from a Ross store (like TJ Maxx). I paid less than 20 bucks for it. However, it is sleeveless. The straps that go over the shoulder are thick enough though to hide a bra strap. It's a stretchy material, the only thing I can wear with my boobs (40/42 DDD). The most frustrating part for me is....clothes will fit everywhere but my boobs. I hate it, so if it's not stretchy, for it to fit over my boobs it's too baggy everywhere else. The Ross store had many choices in plus sizes. TJ Maxx also had a few. Our JcPenney's has the most pathetic plus size section I've ever seen, so I haven't had much luck there. Anyways, good luck finding a dress!

Just wanted to pop in hear and say I have 4 dresses that I would like to sell. Three of them are bridemaid dresses that I wore once and would be great for formalwear or a plus size prom dress (I know how hard those are to find......**thinking about my horrible shopping trips back in the day looking for one..**) And the other is a beautiful, never-worn, Alfred Angelo dress with tags still on. These are all size 28 (keep in mind these dresses run a little smaller). Pop me a pm if you're interested! Thanks for letting me put my two cents in...

The reason I had to get a size 28 was because of my waist...I have a large wait (was about 50" i think....so although the dress is too big in the bust, I'd just have to have that altered because of the waist. ) Until I get the pics...hope this helps!

Oh, and my other Alfred Angelo dress is also a 28.....same style....soft pale yellow color with some beadwork on the bust. And my third dress is a two-piece Forever Young size 28 gown....red....very cute. Great Christmas party formal gown.

If you're not interested since your waist size is smaller, just let me know and I won't post pics, otherwise I have no problems doing so. Thanks!

Thanks Z. If you happened to already have the pics and it's a matter of resizing I'd love to see your dresses. If not, don't go to any effort- I don't necessarily have the time for alterations I might even have to go for separates at this time

I feel so discouraged. Dh and my little guy will be wearing tuxedo's and I am stumped for myself. I am looking for a black dress.

when do you need the dress by? I may have one or two. they are black with red polka dots or black with white polka dots. sleeveless but wear with a black cardigan. Im shorter than you but was about your weight when i wore them. let me check the sizes and see tomorrow.
