hi i was just wondering when doing injections do u need to have a period when starting them.my new pcos doc said there is new need to have a period when doing injections!!!!!am so confused i dont get periods at all unless i take meds like provera.he said i just need to release an egg.thx hope to here from anyone.

My doctor always gave me provera to start my period and on the third day of my period I began taking the meds.

I also was given Provera and started meds around day 3. Part of my doc's reason was to shed the old lining and make sure that the lining was fresh/ready for an embryo to attach.
