I wrote this poem for a cousin who was feeling down and discouraged. I wanted to let her know how much God loves her. We all can feel that way at times. We just have to remember that we are never alone.
My Beautiful Flossie Lee
Do you know how much I love you,
my beautiful Flossie Lee?
I created you to be a
loving reflection of me.
You are precious in my sight and
you are all that I hold dear.
All I want is for you to love
me and always want me near.
I know all that you have been through.
I would love to mend your heart.
Seek after the things of me and
we will never be apart.
Your prayers are being answered.
I can hear your heart’s cry.
Know that I am always with you.
Unto me you can draw nigh.
Just put all of your faith in me,
my beautiful Flossie Lee.
I am the lover of your soul.
To your heart, I hold the key.
When the burden is too heavy,
And your life seems so unsure,
Cling to me and I will help you –
I will carry you some more.
