Okay, I know you can have points donated to you and that you get points when you post a new thread. Is there any other way to get points? I collect them!

You don't get points for giving Rep out. You can give Rep Points but they are different from the points you accumulate to buy ribbons and gifts. There is a sticky at the top of this thread that explains how to earn points and the difference between the rep points and bank points.
To earn bank points:
1. Posting earns you points
2. Starting Threads earns you points plus you get additional points when others reply to your threads.

Color me confused. I just read the sticky, and it says:
B]Ribbons & Gifts[/b]
Each time you post replies, start threads, spread reputation points, or when others reply to your threads you will accumulate points.
Isn't spreading reputations points the same as giving rep out?

Well, I corrected the sticky as that was a typing error on my part. Thanks for noticing that, funny that in some odd months it has been there noone has ever caught that. You can not get banking points for spreading rep, sorry for the confusion.

How many points do you need to have to be able to find this gifts and ribbons tab? I can't see it, but haven't got as many points as most people, so I'm guessing I need more?
