Default What were your results with met?

I have seen quite a bit on using met to treat PCOS, but I am going to have to convince my gyn to give it to me. The reason I am primarily interested is that it seems like not only are the PCOS symptoms better but people lose weight too. Before I do the work of finding articles, I was curious to see how other people's experiences went. Thanks!

For the first time in 15 years I actually lost a bit of weight........
Stoped craving carbs and all!

Now, I am starting to crave more and more carbs!

I am only on 500 mgs of gluc xr

I am starting to wonder if I need a higher Script!

Well initially I had lost some weight on Met, but gained it back. I think what I lost was water weight.

The only way I can lose weight is if I diet, by eating more veggies, fruit and 'better' carbs (whole wheat pasta and brown rice).

I've been on Met for 9 months and I only started to lose weight when I started my diet. I've been bad with the holidays, but hoping to get back at it. I think I lost about 10 lbs so far.

Good luck!

Wink but...

That went along with diet and excercise as well.

I am up to 2000 mg per day now.

Default Thanks!

Thanks so much for all the votes -- I going to try and convince my dr, and if she won't go for it I'll try to find an RE.

I did some searches in a few medical journals, and found literally hundreds of articles and studies, so I picked the best 20 to show her. Wish me luck!
