 Possible Disagnosis and confused
Okay, so I went to the doc and I am totally confused. DH was deployed and so I went off of BC in January, got a regular period around every 30 days until March and then NOTHING! I was always irregular growing up, but I was also always a little underweight soI assumed those 2 things went hand in hand. anyway, 6 months with no AF, went BACK to the doctor and she gave me the provera challenge...it worked (I was slightly convinced it was part of an evil plan to kill me lol). Anyway, they did the pelvic ultrasound and found SOME cysts and a few extra follicles, but not enough for a PCOS diagnosis. Hormone levels are all normal, I have no excess hair, I seem to have developed acne though (provera kicked that up a notch!), but other than that no other symptoms except no periods.
My PCM is refusing to refer me to a reproductive endocrinologist because, "THey can run those tests here!" So I got her to refer me to gyn in hopes of them referring me lol. She says that we aren't "infertile" because we have only been officially trying for like 2 months, but seriously, what's the point in saying your trying hwen you know it won't work? Anyway, she gave me Metformin (which is a devil of a drug). I have taken it for 1 day and so far have had horrible diarrhea, nausea, headaches, jittery-ness, and dizziness (after I eat!). So this sucks and I have no idea what is going on! |
