Personally I would not go with these products for the problem you are describing. I think they work better to keep skin soft, inhibit scar formation, and possibly speed healing. Discoloration is different... plus, from an oil standpoint, I wouldn't want these on my face!
There are products aimed at fading acne marks. You might also try an alpha-hydroxy face lotion or just some salycilic acid acne medication - both of which will kind of speed up skin turn-over and help to lighten marks. For an AHA lotion, I really like Neutrogena's Healthy Skin lotion with AHA and vitamins - it is oil free but still kind of heavy so I only use it at night. Never had a problem with breaking out from it although some people do have an initial break out period when using AHAs because as the skin turnover increases, acne that is forming is revealed - but this goes away with use. Or so they say.
That's my 2 cents. I wouldn't go with the cocoa butter or vitamin E, personally.
