I could really use your help because I'm slightly freaking out. Here is my background: after my second clomid/iui cycle, I became pregnant with twins. The excitement did not last though because at 7 weeks my RE told me I was going to have blighted ovums & after a horrible waiting period, I m/c both during a miserable two week period between weeks 10-12.
Now it is a week and a half after the m/c and I have backaches and one swollen/sore lymph node in my groin area. I am trying to figure out if these two things are related to the m/c or random issues related to allergies or something else. Has anyone ever heard of these being post-m/c issues? I am SO SICK of being under the weather! I just want to be myself again.
I am sooooo sorry for your loss! When I had my m/c I was only 4 1/2 wks so a bit earlier than you, but I had a backache for about a week afterwards. I'm not sure about the swollen glad though. I'd call the doc and ask. I think too after having a m/c your body is more suseptable to infection so maybe you are getting sick? Hope you feel better soon!
I would guess infection as well. I am so sorry about all of this that you are going through. It would be good to hear an update, especially if the swollen gland is not due to infection. I hope that things get to a new "normal" for you soon.
Peace,
Sheri

So sorry for your loss. I had a blighted ovum as well, and had no problems after my m/c, other than about a week of bleeding, but I had a D and C so that may be why. I'd recommend a trip to your doctor, where you should ask him/her to check for a possible infection.
Best of luck to you, and once again, sorry for your loss.
I am so sorry for the loss of your lovely twins. After my loss I know the feeling that my body was betraying me further by hurting, and being ill was painful. I wanted to feel physically ok again as soon as possible, but it took time.
I did actually have swollen lymph glands in my groin, and some swollen nodes on my colon. After my loss I had a Urinary tract infection (probably due to catheterization in the hospital) and I didn't get rid of it for a month. I am presuming that this is what led to the swollen lymph nodes. They went down by my next appointment, about 2 months after my loss. (we assume the ones on my colon went down too though we never checked, but the pain went away)
Even without the catheterization, the stress and anxiety of a miscarriage can certainly leave room for opportunistic infections.
Wishing you peace and a return to health.
Aviva
