My Mood: Points: 984.91 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 984.91 | A Post To My Husband.. Although I've been coming to these boards for a little while now, this is actually my first post. I believe most of you know my husband, Man of the Board, and I wanted all of you to know what a truely awesome person he really is. (Even though he seems to doubt this sometimes)
He's there for me like no one else is, and understands what's going on with me more than anyone else does. And I can say without a doubt that he loves me from the bottom of his heart.
When I showed him this board and saw how happy he was that he finally had an outlet and could talk to others going through the same thing, I was ecstatic. I truely hope this continues to be that place for him.
With all of the bad things we deal with, it can be easy to lose sight of the good. But I have a way to remind myself. And here's the story of that reminder.
Ten years ago when we were engaged, he was a young airman living in the dorms on the base. In that dorm room was a big white dry erase board. And on that dry erase board in PERMANENT black marker he wrote the most beautiful love letter slash poem that I could have ever imagined. When we married and moved into our first apartment, that dry erase board followed us. It also went to our house on the base, to Germany and back, and to our home now where it sits propped up against the wall on my side of the bed. He's always wondered why I kept it around and even suggested that i take a picture and then get rid of it. But as crazy as it is to carry a huge dry erase board across the world with you, I know i'd regret getting rid of it. Because every morning when i wake up, i read it, and it reminds me of just how lucky I am to have him by my side. |

MOTB is the nicest man and you are lucky to have a husband that is involved in knowing what all this is and who tries to help us women. If I had a poem on a greaseboard, I'd be keeping it to and taking it everywhere. Those are priceless things.
I'm glad you are here! |

You are a lucky couple.
God bless you both.
