Red face Post your success stories here...

After many months of being on this site and met I have noticed that many women want hope as to how long met takes before you start seeing resilts.
I thought it would be fun to do a post that we can go to as well as women new to met and share our dosage and how long it took to get that beloved BFP...
Also weightloss/gain and anything you feel like sharing. It just seems that every couple weeks there is someone new wondering how it worked for everyone else in these matters.I remember not even knowing what PCOS was and all of a sudden I am on met and had tons of questions so any way we can help would be good.

Ok since I started this thread I will share my experiences. I started with 1000mg in late apr/ early may and got first AF in june. I also started Oing but not regularly so in july I started 1700mg daily. I have had regular menses since I started met and since 1700mg daily I have been Oing regularly. I am excited bc if you O you can get PG. I am not PG yet but I am hopeful and may I ad confident. I have had not much weightloss but I do generraly feel better minnus frequent abdominal pain. My breasts shrank at first and are now swolen (can anyone say dolly parton?) I even have new streatch marks under them.
By far the worst has been the GI symptoms, but to those of you new to met the best advice I can give is eat healthy, sugar is the enemy and so is greasy food.If your new to met hang in there it does get better and for most women there are great benefits for you if you make it throught those first fiew weeks. For me personally it took about 3 weeks to regulate when I got to 1700mg and also @3 weeks when I first started taking met but it does get better.
Also when I first started taking met I got PG and mc'd, it does work and it has been proven to help prevent mc's in women with PCOS, so if you have this happen hang in there at least you know pregnancy is possible right? Allthough mc's totaly suck it is quite common and I learned feeling sorry for myself and giving up wasn't the right thing to do. So here I am PCOS and all trying for a 3rd miracle and hoping for it soon, I am here with all of you and I sure hope our journey to the mommy board starts soon. LOVE AND BABYDUST to all...

Oh thank GOD this idea came up!

I have been taking 2000mg Met for a month now, slowly brought up from 500mg. (I have been off and on low doses of Met for a few years, got a new doctor to listen to me and brought it up to 2000mg)
Really, I have had a LOT of side effects, but the BEST thing I have seen it do for me, is that I had some spotting on the 11th and the 22nd, which is the FIRST time I have had any hoo-hah blood without Progesterone pills since May 1998. That's a freaking miracle. Am I saying that I will get pregnant? I still doubt it, but one can still hope, can't she? I did experience some depressing boob shrinkage at 500 and 1000 mg. But after 2000 BAM! I had purple stretch marks on my chest like I was revisiting puberty! Which, heck, I'll take. Yay for more boobieness! I have noticed a decreased appetite... and other vaired gastro-intestinal upsets. Also, I have been a little dizzy and slightly dimwitted (not unlikened to being hungover). On a search, I did find that to be a common complaint.
Right now, my mini-goal is that I am hoping that my next doctors appt will show some weight loss.
Hopefully, I will maintain this dosage and meet y'all over on the Preggers board.

I have been on Met since August 4th, 2006 and from then until now, I have lost approximately 20 lbs. I have not started exercising, not changed my eating habits, the weight just started coming off. I think once I get on and stick to a healthy lifestyle change, it will get even better.

In the beginning, I started on Provera (to give me a period) which I took for ten days, along with my daily 500 mg of Met. Then I increased to 100 mg of met, then 1,500 mg, and now I am up to 2,000 daily of met.

My GYN also put me on Yaz BCP's to help regulate my periods.

Once I started the Provera, I bled for over a month and a half, it was horrible, so this will be the first month to see if I actually get a period. I have 9 more days in my BCP's packet, so we'll see if AF arrives on time.

Hope everyone else is seeing great results too!

My siggy kind of says it all.

After a year on met and being very frustrated, I switched to the IR diet and got really consistent with my exercise. It was like a whole new drug. My periods, cholesterol, male hormones, free androgen index all normalized in the next year or so. All 3 aspects together were a miracle to me.
