Hi Ladies,
I just graduated from college and have been seeking a Language Arts teaching position for the upcoming school year. The education job market is extremely competitive in my area as the largest school corporation here just laid off 70 teachers.
My Praise Report:
Today I had only my second interview (out of more than 60 resumes I sent out) and at the end of the interview the principal said that based on my resume and application and on what he'd seen and heard during the interview, that he would like to hire
ME for the job

!!! I honestly don't feel I was very impressive during the interview--I really DON'T do well in those types of situations, but he must have seen through my nervousness and felt I could do the job.
My Prayer Request:
Unfortunately, my being offered a contract is not
entirely up to the principal. He can only make a "recommendation", which must then be approved by personnel and the board of ed. In the meantime, under corporation policy, he must continue interview other candidates who applied for the job before the deadline or who are already employed within the corp.
Needless to say, I'm a little nervous that the principal might change his mind or the board will tell him he has to hire someone who is better qualified or has more experience. Without a signed contract, he's under no obligation to keep his verbal promise to me.
So, if you feel led to, would you please pray that God will enable this position to be mine if he wants me to be there? I'd really like to work at this school, but more importantly I need to be able to make a living and support my family and it doesn't look too promising that I'll get a job offer elsewhere.
Thanks for reading and for your prayers!
