Pray for me, please

I have PCOS and take 1500 mg of metformin every day. I had a miracle pregnancy last december that resulted in a m/c in late Feb of this year. I was devestated. My DH and I had given up on every having a biological child. We adopted our precious son in Feb 2007. I was thrilled to finally get pregnant but devestated with my m/c. I went on the pill for a couple months to help me heal emotionally and to stabalize my body. I have cycles between 24 and 28 days. Last month was our first month to TTC again. AF showed up. This month I am using a CBE fertility monitor. Was a low readings through day 7. Days 8, 9 & 10 have been high. I was super positive that I was going to ovulate and monitor was going to help until I logged on here and read about all of the pcos false highs on the monitor when no ovulation actually occurs. What are your thoughts and experiences? We have no money for another adoption or advance IF treatments, but my heart tells me that there is one more child out there for us.

Are you still on Metformin? Can you afford to have bloodowork done throughout your cycle to confirm ovulation? This is how/when I knew I was ovulating on Metformin. I would have my progesterone tested on Day 21 of my cycle. The month I conceived on Metformin, I also included a vitamin B6, as it's been shown to help with the luteal phase. I think you should definitely add this to your day, along with vitamin B12 since Metformin can sometimes affect that.

If it were me, I would stop using the monitor unless I knew for sure that I was having ovulatory cycles.

I understand all too well the pain that comes with miscarriage, and although I can't answer your question I will Pray for you. I was adopted, so I would like to thank you for keeping your mind open and adopting a child, there are so many children in this world who would give anything just to have a Mom to love them. I also understand the desire to get pregnant and have a baby, and the thought that so many women here, including myself, are continually robbed of that breaks my heart and I wish you all the luck in the world that you will have a healthy, beautiful baby!
