I would like to ask for a prayer request for my healing, please...
I was in the E.R. for 9 hours, lastnight & this morning. I have a severe kidney infection. They said I had a urinary tract infection, that went beyond my bladder and into my kidney, and that my kidney is severely inflammed and infected. I'm on pain meds. & anti-biotics.
I need to call my doctor in a few hours (when they open), to tell them that I was in the E.R. & that I have a severe kidney infection, and am on pain meds. & anti-biotics, and that I need to be seen in 5 days, to re-test my urine. If I'm still not doing better, in 5 days, my doctor will probably try another anti-biotic, but if the pain gets worse, I should go back to the E.R.
I'm hurting and nauteous. I'm hoping that the anti-biotics & pain meds. will work, and that the infection & inflammation goes away!

Aw hon, I feel your pain! (((GENTLE HUGS))) A few years ago I had a massive kidney infection as well. I was in the hospital for 2 days on IV antibiotics and pain killers...then basically bedridden for another 7 days at home on oral antibiotics and painkillers. Definitely praying for a speedy recovery. Don't overdo it, rest up as much as you can! Hoping you feel better soon!

I just wanted to update everyone on how I'm doing, and to thank everyone for praying for me!
I finished my anti-biotics, and had my follow-up appointment, with my doctor. I no longer have the kidney infection! My kidney was still a bit enlarged, and I still have occassional pain, but the doctor said it was probably because my kidney was so enlarged & inflammed with the infection, and that it might take a while for my kidney to shrink back to size. So, I might have some pain, until my kidney shrinks back to normal. So, I am suppossed to continue to take the pain meds., if I need to.
Mostly, I try to get by without the pain meds., but I will take them, if I think I need them. I took the pain meds., for the first few days of the infection, when the pain was the worst, and they did help. Basically, I seem to be getting better, day-by-day.
So, again, thank you to everyone who prayed for me! I very much appreciate it!
