Hello all. I often visit this part of the site and keep each prayer request in my heart as I pray each night but now I have a special request for you. My husband and I have been through some very very hard times, particulary financially. I had a terrible accident 3 weeks after we were married and it financially killed us. We are just now starting to rebuild our credit which was so damaged. well.. to make a long story even longer.. we have been longing for a home of our own. We currently rent and are very unhappy with our living situation. We did recieve a gift from my grandmother for a down payment but getting a morgage seems a bit tougher. Today we saw the house of our dreams! It was perfect. We have been having difficulty having a child also and this is just what we need to give ourselves a little lift. I ask you to all please say some special prayers that we may recieve a bit of good news and find a morgage company that will work with us. I dont know how much more dissappointment and rejection we could handle.. Thank you so very much!

I will keep you and your DH in my prayers. I know how hard it can be when things don't go your way. I was hurt on the job two weeks before my DH and I got married. It really hurt us financially. My DH's Grandma gave us the money to help us buy a home because we were tired of renting, too. Luckily everything worked out and we are now living in our home. Have you checked with a mortgage company instead of a bank for a loan. Sometimes they have access to different types of loans. Luckily for us, we qualified for a government loan which loaned 100% of the loan for the house and covered some of the closing costs. I think we were only out of pocked about $1700. I wish you the best of luck and will keep you in my prayers.
Just t o let you know that we will be praying for you and your dh. It is nice to own your own home. I have a little mobile home, it's a start, small, but cozy. I wish I could give you some names of mortgage companies, but we went through the credit union. The banks would not help us, but the credit union did.
