I posted about this in the Adoption Option, but figured it can't hurt to ask everyone who stops by this forum for help too!!
Here is an email I sent to my family and friends. I'm hoping you all can join in prayer with us:
We are waiting for travel approvals (TA) to come in from China. Word is that they were sent from China last night and could arrive by Monday.
Once TA is received the next process is that the agency will book our US Consulate appointments.
Here's the glitch....The US Consulate is closed on Wednesday. So, please say a prayer that CAWLI gets the TAs on Monday, gets them over to the consulate right away, and that the Consulate turns them around immediately. Any delay in Consulate appointments will mean further delay in going to pick up Emily. We NEED to get to China before the Chinese New Year begins on January 22nd!!!
So....whatever you can do for us in terms of prayer and positive thinking we would truly appreciate. My whole travel group (36 families) is waiting on pins & needles for any word and I am hoping the more people I pass this word on to the better.

LISA!!!! I AM PRAYING LIKE CRAZY THAT YOU WILL GET OVER THERE BEFORE CHINESE NEW YEAR!!! I believe that it's the Year of the Monkey, right? Well, I am a 1956 Monkey year person, so perhaps my prayers will have double the luck, eh? But, seriously, I am thinking about you and all the other families!!!!
Kathryn---2003 is the year of the Ram (or Sheep)--that's what Tom, Emily, and I are!! Next year, 2004 is the year of the Monkey!

Oh, but that's what I meant...I can fight the little 2004 monkeys from coming along with their New Year and preventing your TA's from getting through, because I am a strong lil' monkey myself! LOL!
