The Prayers of Children

Today I put DD down for a nap. I heard her say:

Goodnight God. I love you, God. Sweet dreams.

Then she made a sound like blowing a kiss

DH said it's no wonder God loves kid!

Awwwwwwww that is so sweet!

I have a little sweet story. One night about a year or so ago, I was at a friend's house. Her DD was in her room and we thought she was sleeping. My friend asked how everything was going with TTC, well....I ended up crying and just saying how hard it was.

The next day, my friend told me that her DD was actually awake and sitting at the top of the stairs listening. When she went upstairs to check on the kids, her DD told her she heard me crying and wanted to pray for me to have a baby. Since then, she prayed all the time for "Melody to have a baby" .... When we found out I was expecting, I went to her DD and told her that Jesus heard her prayers and that we were going to have a baby. Now, everytime I see her at church she comes up to me and gives me a hug and asks how the baby is doing .... so sweet!

Jash- That is really great that DD did that! My boys do the same thing at night and at the dinner table. We started saying a prayer at the dinner table awhile back and then they started to argue over who was going to say it, so we all take turns going around the table and at night the boys put there hands together and says a little prayer, sometimes it might be about what they did that or something new they got but it is so cute to watch them pray and say I love you God!

I love to put my niece to bed and listen to her prayers. They are so heartfelt and often so right on target. Can you imagine the love God feels when he hears those sweet words?
