Prayers needed for Father in law part 2

Thought I would ask for more prayer. We (dh & I) decided to make a suprise visit to his dad who is dying of cancer. This is a 3 hour drive but well worth it. So I called brother in law and he said they put him the hospital for the duration. THe doctors are giving my father in law Jerry a week or two to live. So we are going up anyways to see him and the family. We are going tomorrow 11/3 to visit. So I hope that he would be awake to see us and that we could just say hi. I don't know what to expect..but this is hard on both of us. I know a lot of you have been praying and keeping up on this for awhile...please continue to pray. I will keep you all posted. Thanks

Thanks for the prayers....we went to visit...and wow...he doesn't look good. He has lost another 20 since we saw him last month. So it is just a matter of time. His hospice nurse was neglecting him..and so they had to drain a lot of fluid from his other (good) lung. So they (bil,sil and mil) turned the nurse in for neglect. He will be in the hospital till he is gone for sure. So I expect a call sometime this week to go back up. Thanks again.

Hi Ladies-Have gotten 3 calls on updates this weekend on my fil in law and the last 2 were ....uggg. From what I have been told they put him in a coma or somthing to knock him out. His lungs keep filling up with fluid. So, when I got that last call I called dh and asked if he could come home from work to get some rest so we could leave in the morning to visit. I don't know what to expect so I am packing my bags just in case. THanks in advance...Cathy

Oh Cathy, I'm so sorry your family is dealing with all this. I am praying for you, your dh, your fil and your whole family. May you all feel the Grace of God, and may it bring you peace.

Yes, bakerl that is what they have done. BUT it is hard to see him in pain. Instead of waiting till morning we left ASAP Sat @ 11 pm and got there at 2 am. He was doing ok..just sleeping. So we found a hotel room. We got back to him at 10:30 today and the whole family is there. They are doing what they can...and say maybe a day or so. So, since I have to work tomorrow I left dh there. The plan is to talk to my boss to get some time off..get there and see what can be done otherwise. I plan on going up to get dh in a day or so. Thanks ladies for the prayers.

Yes I am requesting more prayers. Hard feelings between mother in law and son (brother in prison). He might be coming if the people on that end can get moving. But there is a lot of hard feelings there. He deserves to be at the funeral..and that may be it for him.

I'm so sorry that you and DH as well as his family have to go through this.....its so traumatic for everyone!!

Heavenly Father, I come to you in time of need for this wonderful family. Lord I pray for Cathy's FIL whom is very sick. Lord, I ask that you stay with him and hold him while he goes through such a rough experience here on earth. I pray especially for the loved ones that he will leave behind. When we love someone, its sometimes so hard to let go, please give this family peace and contentment as they go through such a hard time. I pray for Cathy's bil whom wants to see his dad in the hospital, let thy will be done concerning his release from prison, and if by chance, let everyone KNOW that you are present and love them. I pray that each day they will feel your love, peace, and mercy.....In Jesus name, AMEN!
