I'm posting this all over many different boards I frequent to get maximum exposure. She is our friend through motorcycles. This little girl is so sweet and it's totally not fair. http://www.caringbridge.org/tx/sashadvorak/ is where you can get more information also... I'm sure anyone anywhere can give in her name, just go to your local blooddrive location, give in her name and shoot an email to Pete (below) and let him know that you did so they can "count" them towards Sasha.
Quote:
Forget about specific blood type and rh factors, Sasha's condition is now so severe, and there such severe shortage of any platelets, the doctors will take ANY type of platelets. When I say NOW, I mean THIS INSTANT!!! Go donate as soon as you can, designate them to her, and send me an e-mail to prichard@ev1.net to let me know when you're going/went.

Hey there --
I'm in Houston and I'm going to be down in the Medical Center area tomorrow for an appointment with my doc. Is it safe to give platelettes if I'm TTC. If it is (and maybe I should check with my doc), I'll see what I can do. Maybe I can take my DH with me....
Sending my prayers skyward --
Andrea
