i've been having all kinds of tests done as i'm ttc, but also seeing the same guy for my pcos.
one test that came back today was for my fasting glucose, which was 108. i don't think i've ever had one that high before, and from what i read, i now have pre-diabetes.
what do i do now? are there foods i should just not eat? is sugar completely out of the window? is this why i've been having to take naps in the afternoon?
i feel like such a big fat faliure :(
(and i do mean fat - i'm terribly overweight right now...)

don't be so hard on yourself. I too am a borderling diabetic and I am always so tired. As a matter of fact after I put my kids on the school bus this morning, I laid down from 9:45 - 1:45. And I could have stood in bed longer. I just didn't feel like I got enough sleep.
As far as avoiding foods, I basicly changed my whole eating habits and I now eat healthy foods and I exercise (walk a mile everyday).
i can't stop crying. i can't believe what i've done to myself how could i let it get this far? i've let my weight go up and up and it's so hard for me to take off.
i HATE pcos.

Pre-diabetes doesn't mean you WILL get diabetes. Check the articles board for the rate of adults with pre-diabetes who DON"T get diabetes IF they take their meds. If I remember correctly it's around 80%!
Lower refined carb diets can be great for regulating sugar and insulin levels. What meds are you on?
