Question Never heard of it for PCOS

What are your questions?

This isn't a med that is used on a daily basis.
I have many stories for that med, some good some bad.
Plenty of warnings.

Ask away!

My mom takes this for her Chrons Disease. It makes her sick and she gains A LOT of weight especially in her face.

I had really bad allergies and my OLD doc said to give me this instead of Allegra while TTC....

I got a new doc

Torie does your mom take this daily?????

I feel sorry for her.
That stuff can be so vicious!

It can make you gain extremly fast and make you
mean or very emotional.

I wish her luck,
Patty

Hello

I have 5mg of Prednisolone every night for my locah. I've been on it since Sept last year. My weight went DOWN 10 pounds when I started it. I feel better on it - more awake in the morning, and not so sick.

Hope this helps. pm me if you want

Eva

Yes everyday, but then she'll stop it for a few months until her doctor yells at her to start taking it again!

Smile predisolone

hi,
im on pred too 2.5mg in the morning and 5mg at night, its showed that my testosterone levels are perfectly normal now and the hair thinning has slowed down now. it does have some side effects though, i suffer with a lot of stomach problems with it and i think my doctor told me you have to take it for at least 6 months to see any improvement [ ive been on it 2 years ] so i think its had a fair trial!

Wow,

My mom would have to use it for severe infections. She is allergic to most antibiotics. That is the last resort to reduse swelling in her brocular tubes because of asthma.

She hates it because of the stomach upset makes her want to eat.Which is one way she puts the weight on. It can also cause water retention in some.

Another reason it is so bad is it effects diabieties/insulin res. It can send your sugar out of control if your not real careful.
That's why I was so concerne about is posibly being used for PCOS. I can understand for the other conditions but not when your dealing with sugars/insulin.

Good luck to all that must use it.

Patty
