My gyn/endo just put me on 5mg of prednisone. I have a history of thinning hair in my family and he suspects that this could be due to my high testosterone levels, which I suppose are do to the PCOS. He thinks the prednisone will help my hair stay in, clear up my acne and reduce my levels of testosterone. After 4 days of taking it though, the acne is totally worse! When I tried to search for info online I didn't find much about using prednisone to treat high testosterone-- only about fertility and it's traditional uses.

Can anyone give me any info about this? Thanks so much.

...and btw, I'm not ttc right now.
