Incompetent cervix is scary. Most of us have had prior losses to IC that leave us anxious during future pregnancies. Some of us caught it just in time to save our babies. Some of us have gone on to have fullterm babies. Whatever our situations, we need to talk. Here's where we can do that.
Questions? Someone here probably has an answer for you.

Manders: Glad to hear good news on your measurement!
Ready: I felt some pressure after my cerclage but not much. I didn't get up except to go to the bathroom though because I was in the hospital and then home on stict bed rest. I didn't have any bleeding or discharge, but have heard it's normal to have that. My back was a little soar after the spinal..even a week or so after when I'd turn a certain way it felt tender, but it didn't hurt to touch around that area..it was just tender inside there or something.
I had my weekly appt today and my cervix is holding at 1.5cm. My contractions have stayed the same and I'm not having any type of pain so I get to be at home for another week..unless something else comes up of course. I go to the diabetic doc tomorrow to learn about my new diet and how to do finger sticks. Ugh. But, 11 weeks of bedrest down and only 6 to go until my c-section! Yay!
Did I miss something or has Pawnsy disappear? I remember her getting to go home from the hospital but don't remember seeing anything since then. ???

Shell, glad to hear that everything is still going well!! I'm assuming that you're section is at 36 weeks? Mine is at 38 weeks, so I still have 7w2d to go!
As for Pawsny, didn't she say that she didn't currently have internet connection at home? That they just moved or something?

marking my spot
I just read Heidis update and thought I'd post itFinally, Kaden's surgery is underway. It should be done around noon. After the PDA is closed, Kaden should really thrive and grow more quickly.
Kory's x-ray turned out great this morning and he will finally get his final chest tube out. We are so very excited about this. Having the chest tubes in caused a whole chain reaction of complications for our "little peanut". Kraig and I hope that he too will thrive and grow quickly now that some hurdles are behind him.
Kory now weighs 1120 grams or 2 lbs 7.5 oz
Kaden now weighs 1190 grams or 2 lbs 10 oz
Our little boys are truly little miracles and we are so blessed to be their parents. Words cannot express how we feel about Kaden and Kory. They have overcome such great challenges and continue to do so well.
We will post an update on Kaden as soon as we are able.
Thank you all for your prayers!!!!
UPDATE: The surgery is complete and all went well...Praise God!!!! We are waiting to see Kaden now...
this was from today at around 11:30am...so glad that things went well and the boys are doing well Heidi.
How are all the bedresters doing? Manders glad to hear about your cervix..
Ready~I too felt a small amount of pressure....not sure if it was pressure or the feeling of the cerclage but it was a different feeling then before the cerclage.
Well here is an update pics of the babes in their diapers so you can see how welll they are growing....and also a pic of Jordins smile now that he has really learned how to smile well and all the time.....

Mindy ~ Thank you for the thread! Thanks for your comments on my belly too!! I dont feel so tiny, finally got the maternity pants on today.. much to my disgust but they are certainly much better for work than sitting in tight stuff with zips! LOL Sorry your backs driving you up the wall, hope you can get in a nice bath and relax.
Manders ~ YAY on your cervix measurement, well done. I am so pleased for you. You are doing a brilliant job of taking care of Olivia and yourself.
Metalmama ~ YAY 24 weeks, I will be counting until then and beyond of course. How was your DS when born at 35 weeks? Did you have an extended hospital stay?
Shell ~ Yay on your cervix measurement too, well done. I am just so pleased to hear it is holding out for you and bubs.
Angels ~ Your darlings are just that... absolute darlings! YAy on the great surgery and updates, they are coming along so well. I am really just so thrilled. Absolutely gorgeous again. They look great!!
Lots of Love to everyone, Sall x x

Thanks for the new thread! I've been crazy busy lately!
After my cerclage, I had pressure AND a ton of mucousy/bloody discharge. My peri said it all could last the remainder of the pregnancy. Thankfully, the discharge cleared up after 6 weeks or so. The pressure was always with me. And Colace is safe to take throughout your pregnancy - I highly recommend using it daily!
