Has anyone gotten pregnant without having to take any types of medication? I was diagnosed March 2008 and I am not on any meds right now, my gyn gave me provera to take in febuary 2008 because I told him that my periods were very irregular and since I took the provera that one time my period has been regular. I am ttc, but I was just curious if anyone has concieved without taking meds.
I've heard that if your overweight and you lose as little as 10% of your weight then your periods become more regular and you can conceive. Meds arent always needed. Are you over weight? I am and my doctor told me if I was to conceive I need to lose weight, so hopefully when I TTC it will happen naturally without meds. I wish you luck in TTC!!!!!!
I got pregnant after losing about 20 pounds and having my periods start up again. I had been on metformin, but the weight loss is what really seemed to do the trick.

I had been on feritilty meds for quite some time. I just needed a "break". I stopped taking ALL of my meds. No metformin, vitamins, aspirin, no nothing!!!
Then to my surprise, God blessed me with this pregnancy.
Good luck and God bless!

I personally have had a different experience with the weight loss idea. I was diagnosed in 7/06 and have followed my doctor by eating healthy and exercising and I can't lose weight , my cycles have a mind of their own and we haven't been able to conceive. Yet in the office I work there are four (4) of us who have PCOS and the other three (3) women have continued their lives as normal without taking meds, changing their diets or exercising and one has three sons (two of which are twins), one has two daughters and the other just had her little miracle just before Christmas. So it's definately possible, but I think it's really about our own personal body. It's different for everyone.
