Thread: Pregnancy Length

For anybody that has been confused about how the weeks and months breaks down during pregnancy, like I have. Here's a really helpful website link.

It's not confusing-which is great for me w/this pregnancy brain.

This confused me even more. It says 30 weeks is end of 7th month, so next week I'll be in my 8th month. I figured that next week, I'll be exactly 2 months away from my EDD, so I would be exactly 7 months pregnant. I give up...lol. Just going to use what the ticker in my sig says!

battling- I think it means that you are going through your 8th month and at the end of that month you have completed the 8th month. 20 year old is called 20 until they hit 21. So they are going through their 20th year.??? Dont know if that makes any sense because it sounds confusing when I read it!! lol

It's one of those things (sort of like Alegbra!) don't dwell on it, take it for face value. I'm 20 weeks right now, so I've completed over 4 months. So when someone ask me how far along I am. I can say 20 weeks or I'm IN my 5th month.

Technically you are preggo for 10 months is how the dr. explained it to me.... if that helps makes it easier!! I guess if you think about 4x10=40 which your pregnancy is 40 weeks ... if you go by 4 weeks in a month at least... I don't know it was always confussing for me so I just went with "What to expect when epecting" that was always accurrate lol..

I think what confused me the most is the fact that some months had 5 or so weeks in them. Most of those change it so that your pregnant for 9 months when actually your pregnant for 10 months if you go to 40 weeks or over. That is why it is easier for me to do weeks. Though good to know I will be 8 months on tuesday!

Both of my books are difference too. one says one thing the other says the next week.
