All Ok with me. I had a midwife appointment on Firday. I managed to put on a pound in two weeks - not the two I should have put on but hey ho, at least I haven't lost weight. I did have glucose in my urine which they were a bit bothered about but they did a random finger prick test and the result was good as far as the midwife was concerned so she's not worried. My blood pressure has crept up another little bit higher, that's not so good so she's keeping me on fornightly appointments for now. Better safe than sorry I suppose. I have my glucose tolerance test on the 23rd - really hoping that comes out well so am doing my best to eat friendly foods in advance of that. Kind of feel stuck between a rock and a hard place actually because if I eat totally healthily then I'll undoubtedly lose weight which isn't good and if I don't I could fail the gtt which also wouldn't be good. Anyway, I'm prioritising the gtt for now.
I talked to the midwife about the persistent thrush again. I'm trying some natural remedies over the next couple of weeks to see if I can shift it that way, if not we'll decide what to do at the next appointment. I'm reluctant to get a prescription again because I read that if you over treat it the problem can become chronic! Yuck....
The baby is doing well. Heartbeat was strong and beautiful. Lots of kicks and hiccups and I've had a serious growth spurt - I'm now looking very pregnant indeed.
Good news for me is that i think the 2kg i put on last week were false as i have gone down in weight but will know more when i get weighed at hospital on thursday.
Baby is really kicking now and it feels great but still rather strange.
Still exhausted cos i'm really busy at work and with sorting out the house. My mum and dad are coming over at easter and i'm really looking forward to that.
only 12 weeks to go! And less than 6 weeks at work - hurray!
