Default pregnant 1st month on met?

Okay, so I'm sure this has been asked a lot of times before, but hopefully someone will be able to help me out.

My doc started me on met about a month ago (just over three weeks) after a bout ten days, my overies seriously felt like I was on clomid! I o'd, and I'm 9 dpo now. I'm not sure what to think, I feel like something is different, but it could be the met. Usually my nipples are really sore from day one, but this time, it's been more gradual, and it seems to me more than just the nipples. Also, I had this really strange tinggling in them about 4 or 5 days ago. That was definitly not normal for me, but, I'm thinking, it could be the met? (I'm trying not to get my hopes up, can you tell?) Now I'm noticing a kind of tugging feeling in my lower abs, but i'm not nauseous, and I'm not dizzy, but with my chem. pg earlier this year, I didn't get that way until af was due anyway. So, Here's my question (took me long enough, huh?) Who has gotten pregnant on their first month of met? Is it common, normal, possible, should I even be wondering if it's possible?

After almost seven years of trying, I am trying really hard not to get excited...what is it called, cautiously optomistic?

Paige-
I have been wondering the same thing...I too have only been on Glucophage a short time, I think I o'd also....
I hope you can get pg from taking it a short time...
fingers crossed.
I thought it was just wishful thinking.

I got pregnant after about a month on Met too! I was a bit of a shock around here...we are still trying to figure out what we are going to do when our little one arrives in the next few weeks

Good Luck!

anytime you ovulate, you can get pregnant. let's hope this was your month!!

I am also on my first cycle of met. 6dpo right now... waiting. Who knows. It could be my month too!

But if not, I will be happy just to know that there are eggs coming out of me!!

I wanted to say that I have been on met for about three weeks and Im starting to have the same things, like pg feeling. although my af did come... Dunno what to tell you, I did have a light af, but it was an obvious af... I hope you are lucky and are pg. That would be so awesome!

Take care,
katt.

ANYTIME you have something like Met working on your hormones you can get pregnant. For me, it was a really slow process to get the drug working, but many ladies see their hormones start to regulate really soon. You definetly have reason to have hope on Met...you ladies all sound like it's doing such amazing things for your bodies already...keep the faith!

Lots of baby dust to all of you.

Default do you think if you weigh more it takes longer?

Hey girl squirrels!

Just wondering since we are on the subject of met and the first month....

I have been on it for a month now and well no AF.
I am about 284 lbs. and I just have no clue where the af is. I run a 28 to 32 day cycle, but I'm late even at 32 day cycle!

The urine test the other day was (-)? So I have no clue.

I figured that the more weight you have on the longer it will take for things to get into gear?!

I guess that is a stupid assumption?! Any ideas?

Unhappy

Well af hasn't arrived, but my temps took a real dive this morning. You'd think after 7 years, I'd have learned to be more causious than optomistic. Thanks for all of your replys. Maybe next month, right?

Never having my own period, I started Met on the 19th of October. 2000mg per day. On the 5th of November, I got this "mud" period for 7 days. I do not know if I ovulated, but Met is definatly doing something for me. I don't know how long my cycle is because this is my first, but I can say that my temp did spike 14 days after the first of the "mud." It is still kinda up there hovering right around 97.5, baseline for me is about 96.6. Today it dropped a little to 97.2, so maybe I did ovulate. I am having pain above my pubic bone, but who in the heck knows what that is all about. MAYBE!! MAYBE!!! it is implantation pain?? Oh, don't wanna get all excited now, maybe my first month on Met is working. Someone said I may not have an egg just yet, but I am happy I got my mud period, it means something is brewing! : )

Just want to add that it is totally possible - got AF 15 days after starting Met and 6 weeks later was wondering where my next AF was when I found out I was pg. Total shock (but very happy one!)

Unfortunately, as you can see by my sig., I am hoping Met will work again soon. Sending lots of baby dust your way - I believe Met can work wonders...

Blessings,

MG

Angry I guess it affects us all differently....

In my case, I was having AF regularly EVERY SINGLE MONTH... After taking Met for a couple of months, AF disappeared completely. It was supposed to come on the 16th of November... Here it is, the 30th, and still no AF.... I took a HPT, and got a serious BFN, and I'm so incredibly discouraged. I'm out of town for the holidays right now, and I left my Met at home... I haven't taken it in about five days... I know - shame on me...:o I guess I'll continue after my therapy after I return.

Hmmm that is so intresting. I guess it really does affect everyone differently. So you were having periods before the Met and you started taking the Met and they stopped? Weird. Maybe you should wait a few days then do another hpt?? Are you stressed more than normal? Very interesting. Let us know what happens. : ) Jamie

Jamie, since I found you here, I'm glad you updated your chart....I'm so excited...I'm hoping it stays up there for you a few more days so you can get a bfp!!!
