While I was brushing my teeth the other day I noticed a gray hair. Pretty little silver hair about 3 inches up the hair shaft until it turned red from where I dye it. Then today again I was brushing my teeth and noticed about 4 more hairs the same as that first one. Now normally this wouldn't cause me concern but since I am only 26, I find graying to be a bit unwanted at this point. Am I the only one this is happening to or is this some unknown PCOS link? I don't remembering hearing about it anywhere but just wanted to toss it out there to see if it's normal for us or if I just have to start avoiding really bright lights now.
I am 25 and HAVE TO dye my hair every month because of gray hair. It started with a few in a certain area but now they are all over. I do have very dark brown hair so any gray sticks out like a sore thumb!

I have alot of gray hair but my hair is blonde with various shades of blonde. Some of it sticks out but some of it doesn't. Mostly the gray hair in my bangs sticks out sigh.

Thanks for the responses. I was hoping to stop dying my hair and go back to my natural color which is a dark brown. However, the gray hairs stick out way too much with that color so I guess I'm off to the store tomorrow for some more dye. I really hope I only get a handful of the gray hairs, last thing I want is for the hair I'm not losing to turn gray.
I'm only 25 and have gray hairs near my face (forehead area). I thought it was natural highlights then looked close and my mouth dropped. I actually have gray HAIRS yes! MORE THAN ONE! lol OMG It's not that noticeable, but I see me dying my hair in the near future. I'll try to hold off until it's overly noticeable though. I like my natural hair color. I don't want it to turn yet! It's already slowly falling out...
I have had a patch of grey hair since about 22... Ugh

I've been dying my hair various colors since I was 17 anyways....I can't tell unless I get lazy and let it grow out a bit. But when I do, there are quite a few. My mom was half gray at my age (24) though, so I guess I'm lucky!

I found my first gray hair when I was 14. By the time I was 25, it looked like it was heavily frosted. And I had dark brown hair as a child and in my teens. I dyed it for a while, because my husband said, "I married a brown-headed woman and I want her to stay that way." But I finally got sick of those white roots sticking up after two weeks, and quit dying it about 10 years ago. It has been totally white ever since. The nice thing is, I get compliments all the time now and I never did when my hair was brown. But it is a really nice white, not gray. Sometimes people who don't know me think I'm a peroxide blond, cause it does tend to get a little yellow on the ends. It's hard to keep white hair white.
I've been grey since I was 14 and now have lovely Mortisha stripes on either side it drives me nuts.My sister on the other hand is about to turn 40 and has just got her first greys
