Is it true that premature male pattern baldness is the male version of PCOS? My father' side has type 2 diabetes and the men on this side of the fam ily have premature baldness (before the age of 30). My little brother is only 23 and is losing his hair like crazy.
I get my glucose tolerance test results tomorrow...

All I have is a slightly elevated prolactin level and the type 2 diabetes history. Only slightly overweight but able to lose it relatively well with good exercise. BMI is 28 and body fat is 24.7.
My blood pressure is perfect, I have no hair issues, I have a period every 27 to 33 days, never missed once, my bbt says I ovulate, I just don't know why the endocrinologist is thinking PCOS.

I've heard that this is the case. Also insulin resistance. Am getting male members of my family to go in for tests.
