1 a day unless the bottle says otherwise.

Make sure you take them with food as they can cause upset stomach, and also your urine might be bright yellow after you take them, that is the B vitamins and is completly normal.

Make sure you read the labels as not all prenatals are created equally! Some have very little vitamins in them at all. I take materna and they are pretty good!

I take One Source Prenatals from Walmart!! $10 for a bottle that last two months I think.. Two little pink pills! They are cheap and they dont upset my stomach! I take them at night with my Met and with a light snack! Never had a problem! But I cant say I have any more energy though..

I take nature made prenatals, $12 for 300 from Costco.

I would always run any supplement by my doc first, just in general. I think people are mostly referring to the b vitamin supplement which is supposed to offset the way metformin makes you sluggish sometimes.

ETA: the nature made are 1 a day and have 18mg of iron.

Tickled Pick, have U ever just taken Folic Acid. I was purchasing Folic Acid today (I was running out) and the pharmicist mention Materna (Prenatal/Postpartum Vitamin and Mineral Supplement),
Attempting to prepare my body for the pg soon (*fingers crossed*). But on the other hand, 2 much vitamin can harm the child right?
She mentioned also that the Materna are similiar to "horse pills"? If so, how do U get them down?
Thanks!
Janet
