I live in a very queer city (Seattle). I think we have so many outlets for public pride that I end up avoiding actual pride as in the parade since it's CRAZY busy here! They literally shut down shops and such and it's a holiday on Capitol Hill. Gotta love that
I usually have to work the day of the actual parade, though

I'm not a lesbian but I sometimes go to these events in support of the Gay Pride with gay friends or family. This year I'm going to The Big Gay Out which is the London Mardi Gras It's in 2 weeks time and I'm really looking forward to it I also went to the Toronto Mardi Gras a few years ago and it was a beautiful happy colourful day
I hope you all enjoy wherever you're going this year x

I live in Northern Ontario and we don't really have big pride events here. We just had pride last month and there was a movie night, discussion groups and a social. Not as exciting as a lot of other places out there.

I am sure that we will go the one that is in Manhattan and most likely also the Brooklyn one - they do not happen one the same weekend. Last year we took a sasha, my partner's 5 year old cousian, and she was so funny - saying such things as: "Look a pretty Lady, i mean boy".
I will go to Birmingham and Atlanta Pride!~ I'd be up for meeting anyone that is heading here too!!

I'll be at the pride parade in Chicago, for sure. And damnit, I'm going to make it to Market Days this year, too! (I always miss that) However, last year I was actually IN the parade, as part of my job. I dressed up in a dog costume, and me and a fellow in a cat costume had to carry a sign for my workplace. That was extremely fun, but I'm not sure if my workplace will be participating again, so I may or not be able to meet up with people when I'm there, depending on whether or not I'm there in a working capacity!
^Unnecessarily long-winded, as usual!

I will go to the Chicago one if we're in town. Last year we were out of town. The year before we went, but it was like 500 degrees and we left early. I recommend skipping the beginning as it's just politicians and going an hour in when the fun stuff starts.
We missed Mkt Days last year, too, Scoot. I hope to make it this year.
Heather, if you make the Atlanta one, please let us know! We could meet up!
