I apologize if this has already been asked. I did a forum search but it seemed most of the doctors people were talking about were endo's or OBGYNs.
I'm fed up with my primary care physician. I've been complaining to him about how I've been unable to lose weight for years and he's always just kind of been patronizing about it. Like, I feel like he's patted me on the head and told me to "Just try harder" whenever I mentioned it. Meanwhile, everything I went to him for that could be blamed on being overweight, that was the problem. Migraines? It's because I'm overweight. Irregular cycles? Overweight. High blood pressure? Overweight. No energy? Overweight. You get the idea. Some days I felt like if I went in with a broken arm, he'd find a way to blame it on me being overweight. Like, "well you wouldn't have broken it if you didn't have so much weight to come down on it!"
So I'd like to find a good primary care doctor that has experience with PCOS. Any suggestions? I've been going to Dr. Melody Adler as my OBGYN and she's very nice. She's the one that diagnosed me and put me on metformin.
I live in Madison, so anything in the Nashville area, or towards Hendersonville, White House, etc. Thanks so much.
