Default proactiv

JUst to let you know... there are many products that you can buy at the pharmacy that have the same ingredients as proactiv... I know there is a oxy, clearasil, clean&clear and perg products that have the same active ingredients.... 10% peroxide. It's much cheaper. I've also read ("Don't go to the cosmetic counter without this book" - a skin product medical dictionary) that the cleanser doesn't do anything more than a regular cleanser since it's washed right off the face. Just a suggestion to look into it and same yourself quite a bit of $$ IT works just as good and for a cheaper price....

LEt me know!

I've been using Proactiv for a couple of years now. It is very expensive, but I think it’s worth it. Those cheaper alternatives you mentioned are REALLY harsh on my face. And, they dry out my skin. I do have oily skin, but I don't want to have dry, flaky, feels-like-its-going-to-crack-open skin. I find that the 3 steps of Proactiv may not solve every blemish problem that I have, but at least it leaves my face feeling clean and moisturized without being greasy. But, that's just my face...

Be well & safe!

thanks for the advice! I do agree that proactiv is VERY overpriced!! I have had a hard time finding something with as high of conc of benzyl peroxide. Most of the acne products use salicyclic acid. But I have found some knockoffs that i might try. Proactiv can't be that special that it's worth 45 dollars.

Glad to see another Tori Amos fan on the boards! Its always a welcome sight! I guess you know about her new CD coming out! It has a bonus DVD and everything. Its her first ever "Best Of" but she's got 2 new songs on there as well. It comes out Tuesday Nov. 18th. I'll be getting it THAT day! I can't wait for Christmas.

Anytime you wanna chat, feel free to PM me!

Toodles!

Default I Love the stuff

I started using Proactiv a week ago today. My face is looking better everyday!! I love it!! I have tried so many over the counter stuff, nothing has worked as well as this!! I don't think that $45.00 is alot to spend on your face if it works!!
