Default proactive

I have been using proactive after seeing my skin repeatedly breaking out. I couldn't get it under control. Proactive has been a life saver. My skin is better looking, the oil is under control. I highly recommend this product.

I second you! It may be an expensive skin care system, but its work better than any other I've tried, including Clinque! If you have the means, you should give it a try... Couldn't hurt too much!

Be well & safe!

Question

Chrissy,
I am just wondering exactly what you ordered. I have gone to the website, but I am not sure if I should get the 3 or 5 piece set.

Rosie, I know you asked Chrissy but…

As far as which you should get, that's a personal preference. The 3 pc set is good to start with. I would recommend that for a newbie. Its cheaper (if I remember correctly) and it does the job well.

If you're looking for better prices, I would recommend QVC.com. They may not always be *cheaper* but I find you get more bang for your buck (more products for the price). They have a few different configurations of the 5 pc set, and also they have a *mini* version of the 3 pc set. Its only 15!!! That may be your best way to go, to try it to see if you like it. And, if you don't, you have 30 days to return it (and yes you can return EMPTY bottles!!!). Here's some item numbers for some of the different Proactiv products. Click the qvc.com link below and in the search box enter the item numbers...

www.qvc.com

Item Number A41382
Proactiv Solution Mini-Maintenance Acne System
($15.00)

Item Number A27761
Proactiv Solution 4-pc. Acne Treatment System
($41.00)
*The basics with Refining Mask (QVC doesn’t have the 3 pc kit per say.. They add in the Refining Mask as a bonus)

Item Number A77460
Proactiv Solution 5pc Acne Treatment System
($53.00)
*This set contains the basics plus the Refining Mask and Deep Cleansing Wash (like a body wash)

Item Number A50629
Proactiv Solution 5pc Acne Treatment System
($57.25)
*This set also contains the basics plus the Refining Mask and Oil Free Moisturizer with SPF 15 (good for summer time to protect your face from the sun, but it doesn’t make you greasy)

Item Number A61814
Proactiv Solution 6pc Comprehensive Acne Treatment System
($61.78)
*This set is the most complete (I think) offered… It has the basics plus the Refining Mask, Deep Cleansing Wash (the body wash) and the Oil Free Moisturizer with SPF 15

They also offer most pieces separately and as you can see have several different combinations for pretty good prices. Just imagine if you bought each of these items separately! SHEESH! Like I said though, I’d recommend the basics…

Since QVC doesn’t offer a flat 3 pc kit, you actually get more for your money… If I remember correctly from pervious calculations, the Refining Mask is thrown in almost free!!! And I love the Mask. Its great for spot treatments at night too!

I hope this helps you! Sorry so long, but there’s so much to consider with Proactiv. I hope you give it a try! Good luck!

Be well & safe!

Amber,
Thank you!! I just ordered the 4 piece kit. It was 49.19 with shipping. I can't wait for it to get here!!

How long did it take before you started to see results??

Hi Rosie!

So you ordered the 4 pc kit from QVC?

I'm glad you're getting started with it. Each person is different of course... Its been well over 2 years for me using this product. I think it took about 2 weeks before I noticed significant results. Now I use it just to keep my *breakouts* under control. My skin is pretty clear now, with the occasional cystic type zit, that I don't think anything can get rid of. Mostly now I just put a glob of the Mask on at night, sleep in it and by morning its either gone, well on its way out the door, or the redness/swelling has gone.

I'm very happy with Proactiv. Its expensive, no doubt, but I think its worth the money for me. And, I think QVC gives me a pretty good deal. I hope you'll be happy with it. Good luck and ENJOY!

Be well & safe!

PS Is the price you paid less then the 3 pc set on the Proactiv site?

I paid about the same for the three piece set on the proactive site but they now throw in the mask with the 3 piece set as a bonus. The ony kicker is you are on a scheduled mail out so every 2 months they send you a new pack. Does QVC do this or can you order as needed? I like to order as I need.

Chrissy,
I ordered mine from QVC and there is no commitment to a monthy shipment. It is a one time deal. If you want more, then you just call again and order.

I have been using it for 9 days now. I only have 2 blemished left and they are on there way out!! I love the stuff. My skin feels great!!

Chrissy,

Rosie is absolutely correct... No commitment!!!! That's one of the main reasons I order from QVC, besides the better value... Also, if you only need say one toner (because I find I used more toner then anything else) I can order JUST the toner!

QVC does have what they call auto-delivery that you can sign up for, but I've always just ordered right before I run out. I highly recommend QVC, especially for Proactiv.

Rosie, glad to hear you're enjoying Proactiv & QVC worked out for you. I hope you continue to see great results! Isn't clear skin the best?!

My best to you all!

Bright Blessings!

Thanks ladies!!! I am seeing my skin clear up even more on the proactive than when I was only on the pill. I have just quit the pill and am now only on Avandia for PCOS. The true test will be if my skin can stay somewhat clear without the pill. So far proactive has kept things clear. Only time will tell since one of my main side affects of PCOS is acne! I really like the proactive and the way my skin feels. Thanks for all the tips!

Question Sounds good

I've heard good stuff about Proactive for a long time, but my question is does it do anything for scars?

Hi Hope,

I don't think it does anything for scars. It isn't meant for that... I think its just for acne.

Is getting Proactive through QVC cheaper than going directly to their site...they've got some good introductory offers...

Hi, I'm not here to be negative but in my opinion proactive didn't work for me. I gave it the full trial and even thensome and did it the way i was suppose to and it hadn't helped me at all. But if it helps you then that's wonderful. you girls can give it a shot but for me it was a waste of time and major waste of money. but if you never try you never know
