Hey Cysters!!! I was wondering do any of you experience profuse sweating? I do, and it is pretty embarrasing. I just wanted to know if anyone is going through the same thing! Hope all is well!! Take care!!!

K,
I'm lucky so far. I just sweat when I'm hot, but I'm smellier than average, at least I think I am.
I saw a tv documentary about a certain nerve that causes the problem of profuse sweating, especially in the palms. When that nerve is removed (I think it's in the lower back), the sweating goes away. Could be useful to ask the doc about, especially a neurologist. You shouldn't have to tolerate it.
Good luck,
Sheri

I can tell you that when I was taking...
metformin + prometrium + zoloft, the combination made me sweat all of the time. I am now taking metformin and prozac (every once in a while) and do not get sweaty. Are you taking meds?
OMG! I dealt with this problem for all of my adult life....up until a week ago. I ordered a different kind of anti-perspirant called Certain Dri....I got it from www.drugstore.com and it was about $5 and within 24 hours....sweat free!!! And beyond that, no residue, so I won't be ruining any more clothing! Can you tell I think this is the greatest thing since sliced bread?!

I usually find that I start sweating before others do. But I am always hot when others are "comfortable." I sometimes think it's gross and other times I don't really pay attention (if everyone else around me is sweating, I don't feel bad or odd). I don't just sweat from my armpits, they are usually dry from my deo unless I'm working out or something like that. I sweat starting with my face and then it moves to unusual places like the bend of my arms and legs and my (tmi and kinda embarassing) thighs and bum. That is the worst place ever to sweat and I wish there were some type of deo that you could put down there. :o

Happytoknow,
I'm getting a yeast infection just thinking about deoderant where we need it sometimes! LOL
The reality is, I was a hot little thing even before I was plump. I think it's in the genes.
Thanks for the laugh!
And thanks, Littlestar, for the deoderant info! I might need that by the end of this summer.

augh sweating is one of the biggest problems i have!
no matter if its hot or cold out..within half an hour of wearing a new top..,i will have pit stains. its gross i know..and its makin me miserable! i went to the doctor about it a couple of years ago and he juss gave me this medicine to put under my arms but it did not much except give me a rash..and my palms were still sweating like crazy.
Littlestar..my husband always had a huge problem with
sweating. One of the guys at work told him about Certain
Dri, said it had worked for him. That stuff is AMAZING.
He no longer has embarassing huge wet sweat circles
under his arms.
