Progesterone?

I was prescribed it today, instead of provera, to bring on AF.

What is the difference & can anyone give me there comparisons with the two? what worked better etc...

All my doc said was that...it is a more natural form of provera.

I think your dr was right! It is natural,it want hurt the baby if you become preg.Provera is synthetic(fake)....I like taking the natural stuff better.It helps me sleep so good!

i took provera once for a total of 2 days and was the meanest b***h that anyone would've ever met!!! i quit taking it, and my dr. then put me on prometrium (which is a natural progesterone). provera is synthetic and can cause all kinds of things, but rage was the thing it caused me!!! i had to hide the knives. prometrium is great, and makes me sleep like a baby. only bad thing is it makes me break out really bad. good luck!!

prometrium is the same as progesterone, yes. provera is medroxyprogesterone which is a synthetic, hence it causes more side effects.

My peachy pharmacy claimed there isn't a generic prometrium, but I don't believe them!

And yes, straight progesterone is a LOT easier on your body. It works like your own hormones should, rather than sorta like it, which is what happens with provera.
