Default Progesterone cream questions

I realize this should probably be in the section below, but a similar question didn't seem to be getting a lot of responses down there. Can any one elaborate on the uses of and benefits of progesterone cream? Does is help with symptoms, TTC, during pg, with BFing? Does anyone know the theory behind it and how it works in conjunction with Met? Any info here would be much appreciated. Thanks ladies.

I just recently used NPC to bing on af while breastfeeding. I rubbed it on once a day right after my shower for about 2 weeks and then stopped and AF showed up about ten days later. I dont think I needed to do it for two weeks though. If my temp chart does not show O by CD 25 I will do 5 days of NPC and hopefully AFwill show up by cd 40.

There are some good threads in the alternative remedies section if you do a search. However, if you are TTC, you shouldn't use progesterone cream until you've confirmed that you ovulated because it could trick your body into thinking that you already ovulated. If you don't O on your own, you can use it to bring on the next AF (instead of Provera that your doc might prescribe). I think you use it for 7-14 days and then stop and your AF should arrive as CAMMAM said.
