I still have no idea which I am. I was put on Progesterone, but it doesn't seem to be doing the trick. I have to keep looking for a Dr. that will figure me out.

I think I am. Last year i remember my re telling me my progesterone was elevated. I don't know what it means though except when I take progesterone pills or npc i get very irritable. I can't handle synthetic estrogen either so Im really at a loss for what I can take to handle my symptoms. I only take EPO right now. I think it helps a little. I take 3000mgs per day.

not sure yet which is elevated, and i am quite mad at my gyn for not telling me anything but "oh, since one hormone is higher than the other, you probably have PCOS, and i'm going to recommend you go on birth control because you're 17 and probably sleeping around anyway."

Ok, maybe i embellished what she said SLIGHTLY, but the meaning came across loud and clear. She should KNOW i'm a virgin, she was all up in there, and GOSH did it hurt! And besides that, i've read that going on birth control as an adolescent can cause problems until you and an endo know what's going on.

Post well, sort of...a while ago

Back in the days when I was on depo (progestin only shot) I had progesterone overload symptoms: nightmares, headaches, fatigue, skin problems. Some of them mimic estrogen dominance too! But the headaches, definitely. I am on NPC and accidentally took too much (used twice as much--brain fog *sigh*) for a few days and had awful migraines just like the depo days. I cut the dosage down after re-reading the material carefully and the headaches vanished.

Never wrestle with a pig. You both get dirty, and the pig likes it.
